What is Flossie?

Flossie is a female centric network of high quality websites that are linked by one masthead website, Flossie.

Are articles from network sites hosted on Flossie?

No. When the team at Flossie finds a great article on one of the network sites, we feature a promo for that article on Flossie. The actual article sits on the network site and when you click on the promo you are taken through to that site to read the article.

If I click on network content will I go to another site?

Yes. If you click on an article on Flossie’s homepage, which has been written by one of the network sites you’ll be taken through to that site. All of Flossie’s network sites carry the Flossie doilie to indicate quality content. If you’d like to go back to Flossie simply click on the Flossie doilie.

So is Flossie just a portal?

No. Flossie is a fully functioning site with Flossie-written content. Where Flossie differs from other sites is that she picks the best articles from the sister sites in the network and displays them on the Flossie home page (alongside the content the Flossie team has produced) so that female web users only need to go to one page to see a display of fantastic content from a variety of websites. Flossie makes things easy for women so that they don’t have to trawl hundreds of sites to find the content they want. When women come to Flossie, they know they’ll find what they’re looking for.

Does Flossie have its own articles?

Flossie sure does! The Flossie team works hard to bring you great content which they produce in-house – everything from healthy eating tips to hot fashion, fine-tuning your love life to whipping up a gorgeous meal – if you want to read it, it’s on Flossie. If you have a great product, or a message you’d like to get to Flossie readers, contact the Flossie editorial team.

How do I become a Flossie publisher?

Our basic guideline is that we are only looking for sites directly relevant to women, and only those with the best of the best content. If you are interested please contact Eric Rowe  for more information.

Did Flossie take over nzgirl?

Not at all! nzgirl is still stomping ahead in leaps and bounds and still brought to you by the same great team. What has changed is nzgirl’s parent company, which is now Flossie Media Group. Flossie and nzgirl are produced in the same office and nzgirl is one of Flossie’s network stars.

Can I buy advertising directly from the network sites?

No. Advertising is coordinated through the network and designed to enable you to get as much reach as possible, without having to individually contact each and every website. If you’d like to advertise on the Flossie network, contact Marama Castle Brown.
